Overview
You will join our Endpoint security team and work with a variety of clients, projects and endpoint solutions.
This client-facing role is ideal for an excellent communicator with a positive outlook, eager to learn, and a get-the-job done attitude, with 1 – 2 years relevant experience supporting clients with their Endpoint Solution (ideally Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and/or Symantec Endpoint Security Complete). The successful candidate will join a support services team to provide our customers and staff with endpoint support for the various solutions and services that Threatscape offer.
You will receive comprehensive training in the endpoint security solutions Threatscape works with, while working with and learning from some of the most experienced engineers in the industry, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a certified consultant on a variety of complex and challenging projects for clients worldwide.
A strong grounding in OS and security fundamentals is required (see below). Prior experience with Microsoft security products or SESC (Symantec Endpoint Security Complete) is highly beneficial (or an equivalent endpoint protection experience).
Technical Skills:
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues related to desktops, laptops, software, and peripherals.
- Hands-on experience with security systems, including desktop, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, anti-virus, device/application control.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving talents.
- Deep understanding of Microsoft Windows, particularly server varieties.
- General familiarity with Linux based operating systems.
- Networking – IP addressing, certificate management (OpenSSL), web servers (Apache / Tomcat).
Skills & Experience
- 1 - 2 years of relevant support experience (deployment experience a plus).
- A willingness to acquire additional skills and qualifications as required.
- Fluent English, written and oral, with effective communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Demonstrated ability to work to strict deadlines.
- A bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Applications, or similar would be beneficial.
Relevant Certifications
- Microsoft Security Certification SC-200
- Security qualifications such as CompTIA Security+
